chill有寒冷、扫兴等解释，out就不用多说，chillout本不是一个真正意义上的单词，它由CHILL和OUT组成,用来用去就演化为一个复合词CHILLOUT了,它的意思相当于我们中文的放松,休闲之意.mood在此意为心情、情绪比较合适，说这些，并不是想解释这个词，我只想说说chillout moods这种音乐类型的形式，就是一种轻松的，令人身心放松的音乐，通俗的说，也是大众说法就是驰放音乐。关于它的定义,似乎没有一个同意的说法.有人说CHILLOUT是NEW AGE与AMBIENT的完美结合,它继承NEW AGE的虚幻飘渺却不落俗套,拥有AMBIENT的空灵迷幻却不过分寒冷.这样说不无道理。<o:p></o:p>
另有一种说法，CHILLOUT只是一种统称而已。在舞池旁边，常会有一个区域，或是小房间，里头会放一些较缓和，较平静的音乐，让舞客跳完舞后缓和情绪，休息一下，以放Ambient音乐为主，所以会叫“ChillOut”（冷却）就是这个缘故。

每次听Chris Garneau的歌，心都会颤抖，却忍不住要听下去。
这首歌的原唱是Elliott Smith。一个因为过度忧郁而最后亲手结束了自己的生命的人。Chris翻唱了这首歌。两个人的版本，完全不同的版本。却同样的脆弱。 我想他只是在了解。
